Jelli
As we traveled south through Tunisia, the towns and villages became sparce. One of the most desolate places on the map was tagged "Jelli Cafe". We assumed it would be a small settlement of a couple hundred people, but after a days driving, we arrived to find it was exactly as labeled. This man is named Jelli, and he has a tent and a cafe, with a small place to sleep in the back. It's probably a hundred Km from the next village, and he gets his business from 4x4 explorers and oil truck drivers.
Here he shows me the mint spice that he uses to brew the delicious but strong tea he serves at the cafe.
